Artwork > Public Sculpture

Ritchey's public sculpture enlarges his studio work to full scale totems. However the stories they now tell are not of proto-histories or images of worship. Their abstract lineal forms are now embedded with a more recent "dead" means of communication - the Morse Code. Those climbing windows of light are the "dots' and "dashes" of a text chosen to stand witness to our shared senses and ideas.
